1160 MIS Inks - FS + FSN no curves or rip needed?

1160 MIS Inks - FS + FSN no curves or rip needed?

2004-06-09 by John Vitollo

Hi everyone,

I've had a number of inquires about the 1160 that I'm selling on eBay. Some are asking me
about the MIS inks.

Even though I read the Ink Definitions I just want to confirm and clear up some confusion
for myself.

I'm a little confused with the FS + FSN inks. Are these ink sets are curve and RIP free?

The UT is variable tone with curves?

Thanks!

The FS and FSN are Piezo software compatible and can also be printed with
free curves. I recommend the new UT-FS or UT-FSN versions of this inkset.
These are state of the art.

>The UT is variable tone with curves?

The original UT (MIS Ultra Tone) inkset was and is an upgrade of the MIS VM
(for "variable mix") inkset. This variable-tone inkset is printed with free
Photoshop (or Picture Window) image adjustment curves.

The family of UT inks has now expanded to the UT2 (1280), UT7 (2200 & 7600),
and UT-FS and UT-FSN (1160 & 3000), and C82 & C84 EZ inks. These are all
based on the MIS Ultra Chrome clone inks. It's a whole family of inks.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Paul...what threw me off is on the below link where is it mentions the FS and FSN
1160 ink there is NO indication that the Piezo driver or curve is needed. I think MIS needs
to fix this! I just sent them an email via Support Helpdesk to make them aware of the
problem.

Thanks again!
