Where to get printed?

Where to get printed?

2004-08-03 by jvajdos@houston.rr.com

Hello all...

Maybe this should be a poll, not sure, but I wanted to get
recommendations of where to have B & Ws printed. Does Sams Club,
Eckerds, or any online company do a great job?

Thanks,
Jennifer

http://www.mpix.com/

Their "True Digital B&W" prints are made on Kodak Polymax. Good
quality, neutral prints, but an RC paper.

Jennifer,
Do you want digital prints, or darkroom prints?
If you take a B&W negative to Eckerds or some place like that, they will probably print it on color paper. This will often give a color cast to the print.
You should go to a pro lab if you want quality work. I see from your e-mail address you have Houston Roadrunner. AZ lab, Houston Photo Imaging, or PhotoSource on the northside of town (my personal favorite if I don't print it myself. Talk to Rodney). If you're not close to the northside of town, I recommend AZ Lab.
Good luck,
Steve

Thanks for the leads. I will check them out. And to answer Steve,
I only print digitally, not sure if that makes a difference or not...
