QTR on Windows -- do Linux version profiles transfer?

QTR on Windows -- do Linux version profiles transfer?

2004-08-08 by David Wroblewski

Hi Roy, congratulations on the release of the Windows
version of QTR!

I'm running a 2200 with the MIS UT inkset. Last fall I
linearized the existing UT7 profiles for my printer
and got excellent results.

A couple of weeks ago, the HD on my Linux box died, but
I have the profiles backed up. Is it possible to use
them with the Windows version of QTR? If so, where do I
put them?

Thanks,
David Wroblewski

Oops! Make that "the existing UT profiles" (not UT7).

They transfer just fine. You need the .quad files from CurveDropBox/Quad2200
Put then into C:\Program Files\QuadToneRIP\quadtone\Quad2200\...
You will have to enter the exact file names into the Print-2200.bat file.

Roy & all -- just a quick note to confirm that I was able to use
my UT profiles, just as Roy described. I've tested this on
today's newest version as well.

Bravo, Roy!
