Take a look at the following you may find what you are looking for.

Loopback Success -- Was: Solved! ... Some Level of Networking

2004-08-18 by slalred

John,

Excellent! I had configured my printer, etc., according to the QTR
instructions, and had been using the "Dial up" network. The only
additional step I needed was to configure the the Loopback adaptor
per the instructions at your link (and reboot on General Principles,
I am, after all, using Windows). No addtional printer configuration
was necessary, and now I can use QTR without being on line.

Life is good!

Thanks,

Steve Alred

back to QTR-linux

2004-08-22 by Matt Haber

now that i have my linux partition working again (that's an interesting
story of half-useful installers!), i've decided to focus on getting QTR
to work on that system. In spite of the great work and generosity of
Stephen Billard, I'm pessimistic that it will be easy to make QTR-win
work on a version of windows that's not NT derived.

I've made more progress than in the past with my Linux installation
(a pretty straight Redhat 9), but can't get profiles to show in the
QTCups dialogue box. (I'm using a 1280, and I've moved the
profiles in Roy's stuffit file to a Quad1280 directory under the profiles
directory).

I feel like this issue has been discussed before, but couldn't find
anything on point in the archives.

I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions!
