Scott,

No need to convert to 8bit if you are using PS. PS does it automatically
after converting to the printer profile.

I often edit in 16 bit, but convert to 8 for printing and for saving (of
flattened print files).

Hi Bob,

I know, but I figure the more I do in PS the better. Better conversion algorythmns, etc. But
for 16>8 I suppose it doesn't matter. Just keeping up the habit. Does make print files
easier to store though, which I do if I expect to make more prints.

Thanks
Scott

QTR printing fed through 2200 single sheet slot

2004-09-03 by Tom Moore

Has anyone tried printing on Epson Velvet Fine Art using QTR (PC version)
using a 2200. I can't get the 2200 to accept the paper reliably using the
normal feed stacker (1 sheet at a time) and the instructions with the paper
to use the single sheet slot. However when I do this the image is printed
about an inch lower on the paper.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Hello Tom,

Make sure "Centered" is checked on the Page Layout tab. When you
switch to a different paper feed it sometimes reverts to unchecked.

Clayton

Clayton's response to my question above didn't seem to apply to QTR (and
QTRGUI) since QTRGUI did not offer a paper feed option. However Josh
Freeman's response to a related question regarding printing on heavy paper
clued me into the possibility that I might, once again profit from reading
the manual. Lo and behold, when loading paper into the manual feed slot in
the manner suggested by Epson's documentation, it works just fine. Thanks
all.
