I don't think MIS sells cartridges for the 1270 that are prefilled with VM
inks. However, you can buy empty cartridges at
http://www.inksupply.com/index.cfm?source=html/epsonempty.html for about $6
apiece and fill them yourself. Of course, to do that, you need a refill
kit, but that's pretty cheap too. It's probably a good idea to try out the
inks before purchasing a CIS system, but be aware that refilling is a fairly
time consuming process. Counting cleanup, it takes me about 45 minutes.
Good luck.

MIS was planning to sell 1280 cartridges pre-filled with MIS VM. The 1270
carts may be the same, but I'm no expert in that. Perhaps someone on this or
other list could verify that.

The curves required for the 1270 are different than the 1280. The 1270
curves for the PC are available in draft form. The 1270 Mac curves are not
yet available.

A call to MIS might be a good idea.

The 1270 and 1280 use the same cartridges. The US numbers are Black: T007
and Color: T009
