QTR problem

QTR problem

2004-10-14 by Barry McWayne

This is weird: I am getting roller tracks and what look like
abrasion (rub) marks when printing with QTR that don't appear with
the Epson driver. I'm using a 2200 with UC inks, printing on EEM.
The image I'm working on has a 100% black ground and that's were the
marks show. My question is: why do I get these marks only with QTR?
The printing time is dramatically longer with QTR (6 min. vs 3 min.
for a 5X7 image); perhaps that has something to do with the
situation. Any help would be much appreciated. I really like the QTR
ink tone options and would use it even with the long print times,
but this marred surface problem just won't do....

QTR problem

2004-12-14 by Andrew Unger

I've installed the latest versions of QTR and QTRGui on my XPHome
computer. MS loopback adapter was installed and appears on the
Device manager as an enabled network device. My printer is a 4000
and sharing enabled for Quad4000. I have not been able to print the
21 step tif after having selected it from the QTRGui Image menu.
When I click on the Print button nothing happens. There is no
document in the 4000 print que. I noticed that when I installed QTR
there was no program icon to start QTR itself. I'm really mystified.

QTR is a DOS application, thus the GUI. There is no QTR icon.

Check your firewall to be sure it is not blocking print sharing. There was a
message on this board a while back about someone who discovered that was the
problem.
