Hello Joe,
>can you tell us what LCD display you are using
I'm using a Microtec C586p, 15". I chose it (3 yrs ago) primarily
because it had the best looking image of about a dozen models in my
price range that I looked at in Comp USA and Office Depot. Another
factor is it has a simple power cord, not an AC adapter cube
(despicable things).
I'm a programmer by trade, and work at home. Between that and my
passionate photo avocation, I stare at it all day every day (and
sometimes all night). The LCD made a _HUGE_ difference in eyestrain
for me. I'd never go back to CRT.
>and if you had to purchase a new one now what would you get?
I don't know, I have neither thought about it nor done any research.
I'd probably go for a 17" (and no AC cube <g>).
Regards,
Clayton
