More very dumb 2100 questions

More very dumb 2100 questions

2004-11-10 by Richard Smallfield

Hello,
further to my previous posts ... I'm trying to get started with BO printing on my shiny new 2100.

Next, I'll try QTR - but my Celeron 600 will need to struggle with XP for that (I'm running 98SE).

The thing I can't figure out is that, although I select printing in Black and not colour, many of my prints have a blue cast and the occasional one looks great.

If anyone can figure out what I'm doing right or wrong, I'd be most grateful.

Any thoughts on running QTR on my Celeron 600 (759mb Ram) would also be a help.

thanks,
Richard

Hi fellow kiwi

Are you using Same as Source in the PS print pane? The Epson drivers are
all over the map. For example, for Mac OS-X and the 2100 the driver uses
just the black cartridge if you have Matt Black fitted but uses all the
colours if you have Photo Black fitted. Print a step wedge and take a look
with a loop to see the actual dots.
