a few more QTR questions

Many thanks for the many suggestions to fix my utterly-hosed 2200. I THINK the problem came after I upgraded to Panther and installed QTR before getting my Epson ducks in a row. Fixing it involved deleting all the Epson drivers, running permission repair (under Applications->Utilities), and then re-installing the Epson drivers (downloading the latest one from their website). I'm now ready to re-install QTR, the latest 2.1 one. When I added the Epson in Printer Setup Utility, I did the trick of adding two versions, with the MK and PK cartridges installed. Question: does it make sense to do the same trick when adding the QTR printers ? And how does this interact with the various profiles that came with the QTR 2.1 download ? Some of them seem to be prefixed 'UCpk' or 'UCmk', and some just 'UC'. Also, if I get the UT inksets, do I need to add yet another QTR printer, or simply load the right cartridges and use one of the appropriate profiles ? (It seems like the printer is doing too much thinking for us; I'd rather be responsible for making sure the ink-load and profile make sense together !). Thanks, John
