Which printer is best for piezography?

Which printer is best for piezography?

I want to start using Piezography ICC.
I have an Epson 1160 printer, but would it be better to buy an Epson 1290 for this
purpose?
The 1290 printer has more resolution, right?
Are the prints from the 1290 better?

May I suggest that you take a look at the UT-FS or UT-FSN inksets
(slightly warm or neutral) from MIS. This is about the best b&w inkset
for the Epson 1160 printer and the cost is very affordable. You might
be pleasantly surprised.
