Hi Steve,

FYI...this "deal" is available at quite a few online e-commerce
sites--inkjetart.com, even including Eye-One's own store. My guess is that
since they introduced the new I1 Display 2 monitor profiler about a month or
two, ago, that we're going to see new "2" versions of I1 Photo and I1
Publish.

Inkjet Goodies has the Eye One Photo 30% off - is there a new model coming
or
something?

Is there a hardware technology curve with these things ie can the next model
be significantly better than the last? I am assuming of course that the
software will continue to update and serve both new and old devices.

Steve,

I guess we have to believe that technology will improve as we march onward.
Is the next generation technology significantly better? Maybe yes, maybe no.
Will the new I1 Photo be better than the old? I'm sure Eye-One would like
its customers to believe this. Perhaps, the more pertinent question is: Will
the price of the newest technology be the same as the old? Typically, each
introduction of the next technology hits the market at a lower cost. What
did we all pay for the Canon D30 several years, ago, compared to what the
newest Canon 20D is selling for! My opinion has always been that it's just a
matter of when you want to jump in...in no time at all the same thing you
just bought will be cheaper and better.

Just my 2 cents worth...
