Digital BW, The Print

Can someone help before I run back to the dark room, or at least to 
a printer that works all the time. Due to many of you here weither 
you know it or not I moved from the r800 to the 1280. I am running 
into a major issue today. When trying to run a print for a customer 
the printer deletes the job about 3 inches in to the 53 inch print. 
If I switch to fast BO printing then it run just fine. I tried both 
BO and color in the quality setting. I do not use a continus feed 
system as yet just MIS cartridges. The last carbon cartridge that I 
recieved from them did not ever register, meaning the ink light 
stayed on, so I went to factory Epson inks all around to try and get 
this print done. Then this started. I have removed and reinstalled 
the driver and am about to chuck this anchor out the window. Please 
someone help....

What software are you using to print? It's a 53 inch print so I assume
it's a really big pano?

As for the bad MIS carts (I had them too), what you can do is find a
old/empty OEM cart (matching position 007/009 of course), use a
swiss-army-knife/screwdriver to swap the chips. Then use a utility
called sscserve to reset the ink level to full.

Yes I only do pano's this one is 13x 53.19 and that you for the tip. 
I am using photoshop7 with the latest epson driver from thier site, 
on XP and that is all. I wanted to try qtr but had to finish some 
prints I sold from a recent show. Wanted a clean break before I 
worked on trying new software. Since I have recieved this printer I 
have gone through 50 feet of paper no problem. Before I used a r800 
same set up , no problems. Then the MIS cartridge and then this. It 
is like the printer said, wow you got a lot left, forget it..You 
watch the print queu you can see it all spool to the printer, then 
start printing, then cancel and delete the file from the printer.

I belive tha there is a limitation on the printer and or the latest 
software from epson that would not allow the 53.19 inch length. Once 
I went back and looked at the prints the longest that I had done on 
this printer was 45. So I move the scale down to fit in a 45 inch 
length and it printed as was designed. FYI
