Digital BW, The Print

I'm considering switching from mis full spectrum inks using using quadtone rip to 
piezobw icc, selenium tone (or other variant). Would one need to flush the old inks out of 
an Epson 3000? 

Using Mac, G5, latest sys software, with parallel to usb adapter (Belkin)

Is the list a proponent of the Cone ICC method and inks? Is one of the inksets favoured 
over others for any reason?

Any cautions or caveats?
