MIS / UT EZ inks

MIS / UT EZ inks

2004-12-15 by Daniel Ridings

I really have to ask.

Has anyone, anyone without a working relationship with MIS, ever received
these inks for the Epson C84/C86.

My order started with cartridges.

Back-ordered.

On the list I heard it was only Photo Black that was back-ordered and
another member said he removed it from his order and shipped.

I called to try and do the same thing, but no, it wasn't the Photo Black
that was back-ordered, it was the cyan cartridge.

I decided that I would probably be using the CFS system anyway, so I
changed my order to that.

Yes, it was in stock.

Two days later they said there was a problem with the expiration date on
my card, could I please supply the correct one. I did. They said then said
I would be getting a confirmation order at 16:30 for the shipment.

Days have gone by without that confirmation. I've repeatedly asked for a
status on the order through their help system ... no answer. I can no
longer log in and check the status of my order (probably because it got
changed manually over the phone and something went amiss). Silence.
Nothing. Nada.

So I'm really wondering if these inks really really exist for the market?
I know that very well respected users have seen them and used them, but
are they on the general market?

I am the guy that mentioned that MIS kindly split up my order. I
received the inks promptly after they did so. And they are
fabulous. Printouts on EEM and photorag are unbelievable.

I too was frustrated with their inventory problems, but I assure you
the inks exist, and are worth the wait.

Thanks for the comfort :)

Still sounds good. I'm considering placing a new order. If I get them
both, I'm sure there's someone in my vicinity who will want the duplicate.

Best,
Daniel

Re: [Digital BW] MIS / UT EZ inks

I've been using EZ inks in a CIS on a C84 since June '04. I think there
was a few extra days of delay in receiving the first order (which was
for pre-filled carts, used to check out the ink set and decide on the
neutral/warm mix I would use before ordering a CIS and bulk inks.) When
I ordered the CIS and bulk inks they came in the ordinary course, as did
a second order for the bulk inks.

I've printed about 1000 letter size images with this setup (the first
C84 just died and was replaced under warranty) and am very pleased with
the setup and the resulting images (almost all on Epson Enhanced
Matte.) I used a Canon S9000 with Lyson Quad Black inks before, and
only miss the speed of the Canon.

Cheers,
Kip

Thanks,

In my bank account I see that they've taken out the money. For some reason
or another their routines must have broke and I never got a confirmation
that the CFS system was shipped (nor have I been able to get them to
confirm via the help system ... my login/password seems to have gotten
broke when I changed my order from carts to CFS on the phone and I can't
check it myself.)

I'm really looking forward to this.

Best,

Doug,

Sorry, but I just don't know where they are at with that.
