Rodolpho, >... printer ... (an useful, but old 850). If you are using the MIS VM inkset, the curves are very printer-type specific. So, if the 850 is part of a family of printers that includes one of those for which curves are written, then it should be OK. If is it not just a smaller size of a printer for which there are curves, then it is very unlikely any existing curves will give acceptable results. >... inkjet refill kit arrived. At the night of that >day, I followed the instructions literally (except for the use of bottom >fill adapter, that never came), taking about 1 hour - not so long, for the >first time. I use the MIS procedures, including the bottom fill adapter. It might be that without that you got an air pocket in there that is not going away. It usually takes 3-4 cleaning cycles to get a newly filled cart to deliver a perfect nozzle check. I'm too impatient to wait overnight or at all. I just stick them in and immediately start a cleaning cycle. It wastes some ink, but it's not that much. If I were not constantly changing carts, of course, I'd use a CIS. Because I have used a CIS, I have to use rubber ear plugs to hold down the lever that tells the printer that a new cart has been put in. When I used the original CIS foam blocks to do this I would occasionally get false signals indicating no ink because the foam block had slipped. Paul http://www.PaulRoark.com
