MIS C86 Resetter?

Hi, I read Paul Roark's workflow for the C86 printer and found that he recommends using the MIS chip resetter. I wonder if the SSC Service Utility found at http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml can be used to reset MIS cartridges instead of the MIS chip resetter. Dave

Dave, If you read "supported printers" and follow the "**" note to C86, for example (and many, many others), you will read: ** - NOTE! It is impossible to reset ink counters by software methods on this printers. Use "ink freezer" function to maintain current ink level and "hot swap" to use refilled old cartridges. In my book, the $20 investment for a chip resetter seems to be a safe bet for avoiding headaches further down the road. Daniel Ridings
