QTR and cool tone

QTR and cool tone

2005-01-05 by jarrrush

I successfully installed and printed using the latest release of QTR
last night and I am pleased with the initial output on my epson 1270;
however, in the included profiles I see no option for a cool-tone
print. I printed the sepia, carbon, and neutral and I am looking for
something with a very light-cool tint. Any profiles planned or blends
of current profiles that will achieve this? I am printing on EE Matte
with MIS inks.

Invalid floating point operation

2005-01-05 by Hans VR

I have been using QTR and the QTRgui quite frequently lately but now all
of a sudden I get an "Invalid floating point operation" error each time
I start up QTRgui (v 2.1.2).
I can't drag and drop images from Thumbsplus on it anymore like I used
to do but I still can get a print when I select an image via the Image menu.
Also, it no longer remembers the settings for blend & ink limit
adjustment like it used to.

How can I get it back to normal?

I think you need to completely remove the old QTR and gui files and
get the latest version.

Something has corrupted the QTRgui.ini file. You can remove this file and
start your configuration over. However, before you do so, I suggest you
download a more current version the QuadToneRIP system from
http://www.harrington.com/QuadTonePC.html and QTRgui from
http://www.sbillard.org/Shareware/QTRgui.htm. There have been some
considerable improvements since version 2.1.2.

It wouldn't hurt. Use the cleanup program that is also on my WEB site.
