Those "spongeless" carts look real tempting, but I think the sponge
is used as a "filter" to help prevent a potential clog.

Wow! now that is truly inspiring! They have see-through spongeless
carts for the 1280. I never thought I'd see the day, the 1280 having
pretty much run it's course. But they have those for a lot of older
printers too, so I guess their perspective is a bit different. It
looks like MIS' dirt cheap $5.00 carts they were selling came from
there. If it is, I can't say much for their dye inks-they print
well, but they stink-literally. I couldn't handle it it was so bad,
I returned 30 carts. Broke my heart!(g)

Yes, the prints came out smelly! Something between a ketone solvent
and ripe bearpiss.

Does anyone know where to get these cartridges? I looked on the
website and there are no distributors in the US. I also sent them
an email and got a response in all chinese characters.

MIS is testing them and a few others like them. It's too soon to know if
they are really any good. MIS will have them as soon as they appear
reliable and available in volume.
