Hello, Has anyone tried to swap MIS Eboni ink and Epson MK cartridges repeatedly? If so did you have any problems with frequent swaps? like clogging, etc. I want to determine the expereince with this practice first before trying - and potentially mucking up my 2200. Thanks Vartkes

It seems to me Ebony and Epson UC MK are so close that why would you want to do it? Ask Paul. The real question for me is if you could mix Ebony with the CF Epson Archival inkset for greater d-max without cloggs. That I would like to know for sure. John

You can buy eboni in bulk and refill your own cartridges - big savings. And there is no reason why you couldn't use Eboni alongside Epson inks - just reprofile your printer.

Parev Vartkes I'm now using MIS Eboni in place of the Epson MK and, more recently, switched to the MIS Photo Black instead of Epson for non-matte papers. No clogs or other cartridge-related problems have arisen. Roy

I gone back and forth twice. No issues at all. Nothing a couple of head cleanings could not clear anyway. Richard On Sun, 30 Jan 2005 20:07:21 -0000, vartkes_peltekoglu <vartkes@...> wrote:

Well, has anyone actually done this with the CF inkset? IF not I wonder why not? Or better yet why Epson hasn't started including this MK carbon black as an alternative to it with this inkset. I realize I would have to make all new profiles. What I would like to do it just increase my dmax a little. I will have a 9600 for more saturated work. john

I refill from MIS 4oz bottles. I guess Epson has their MK product and MIS theirs. They compete.
