hi all

I read a lot about DMAX on this board, I understand as a measure of
tonal range capability... higher=better (more).

Does anyone know the dmax of my own set-up... h photo rag (308gsm) on
an epson 4000 using ultrachrome and can anyone suggest a similar matte
paper with a higher dmax.

the reason i ask, is that I'm up for a free paper profile from my
hardware supplier and would like to consider this alternative paper.

Epson premium semimatte, epson premium luster...you should try these. 
Ask your supplier for an epson media sample pack. Try them and 
measure the dmax..then move on from there.
