Resurrecting a 1280 with Piezo inks

2005-02-09 by B Richfurd

We had to abandon our 1280 about two years ago due to constant clogging and how we
basically lost control of our Macs for the duration of the print. We had been using the
original ConeTech Piezography BW system (not ICC) with the original Neutral Quad-Tone
inks through their continuous ink system. Obviously, due to lack of use and time, the ink
in the lines has evaporated and caused large packets of air. What needs to be done to
return the 1280 to using the original Epson dye based color inks? Thanks.

Remove the CIS system and reinstall the blue cartridge brackets that you removed when
installing the CIS. Install the Epson cartridges and everything should work as new.
