I have started using QTRgui to print B&W photos to my Epson 2200. It works great but I have a question. I have been preparing photos in Photoshop CS and then opening QTRgui as a seperate program and printing from there. Is there a way to open QTRgui as a Photoshop plugin? Thanks, Chuck

Thanks for the idea. Here's a way and it works like a charm. Go to the QTR-gui program in the Start Menu/Programs and right click on the program then choose copy. Go to Windows Explorer (used to be file manager). Open C:/Programs/Adobe/Photoshop CS /Helpers/Jump To Graphics Editor and right click in the file. Choose create a shortcut. When you open PS CS and have your image ready choose File -- Jump To then QTR-gui. The image is sent to QTR and off to the printer if it is preset. You can also do this with other graphics programs like Qimage. Avery [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Thanks! It works. One question though-- it imediately sends the image to the printer. You can't make adjustments in QTR. They have to be pre-set. Is there a way so that QTR comes up but you have to click on its print button before it sends to the printer? There is an option named Drag-Drop Autoprint that you can un-check. Then the file does not automatically print. -Stephen www.sbillard.org/Stephen

And thanks for producing QTRgui; it helps my workflow immensely. I'd like to suggest two enhancements: (1) Please consider having QTRgui raise itself to the top when a file is dropped on it (specifically, to ensure that it surfaces when it's already open and you use the PS "Jump to" function to send the current file to QTRgui. I'm finding that I need to go down to the task bar and select QTRgui since it doesn't auto-raise. You might consider making this optional, or only doing it when Drag-Drop Autoprint is not selected. (2) I'm currently printing a mixture of portrait- and landscape-oriented photographs. I realized that QTRqui should be able to auto-select the orientation based on the image dimensions and save me from having to click the orientation buttons when I've sent it a file. This might be particularly helpful when QTRgui is monitoring a folder but I would use it for most cases. Thanks, again. Walt

Thanks for your suggestions. Both these features will be in the next release of QTRgui. -Stephen www.sbillard.org/Stephen

Thanks for pointing that out, Stephen. And thanks for producing QTRgui;
it helps my workflow immensely.
I'd like to suggest two enhancements:
(1) Please consider having QTRgui raise itself to the top when a file is
dropped on it (specifically, to ensure that it surfaces when it's
already open and you use the PS "Jump to" function to send the current
file to QTRgui. I'm finding that I need to go down to the task bar and
select QTRgui since it doesn't auto-raise. You might consider making
this optional, or only doing it when Drag-Drop Autoprint is not selected.
(2) I'm currently printing a mixture of portrait- and landscape-oriented
photographs. I realized that QTRqui should be able to auto-select the
orientation based on the image dimensions and save me from having to
click the orientation buttons when I've sent it a file. This might be
particularly helpful when QTRgui is monitoring a folder but I would use
it for most cases.
Thanks, again.
