making curves in QTR - Mac not PC

making curves in QTR - Mac not PC

2005-02-15 by inna_thort

I know this has been asked. I just can't seem to find the answer though.

I am on a Mac OSX 10.3.8 using Epson9600

I've installed everything and have no proble with what little I've
printed so far, I just want to make curves for the papers I'm using,
mostly Arches and Hahnemuhle GE.

But how do I make these curves?

One poster suggested reading the Calibration and GettingStarted text
documents which "should have been installed" - well where? I've
searched the installer.dmg as well as all my harddrives and cannot
find these text files.

any help would be much appreciated thanx

Stuart,

The same thing happened to me. I went crazy trying to find those
documents, until I finally realized that the latest version of QTR for
OS X was only an updater, not the full installation. Download a
previous version, install it, then run the updater. You'll find a
curve design folder with docs and examples in it.

The "old" QTR version with the necessary Curve Design folder appears
to be: QuadToneRIP-2.0beta9
