QTR 2200 Density & Contrast
2005-02-16 by krn_ptr
I have pulled my first tests with QTR on the Epson 2200 and they are wonderfully neutral. They are, however, a little light and don't match the monitor tonality or the density of the same (greenish) image printed with the Epson driver. I'm printing on Velvet Fine Art and I've used both the EEM and PFA profiles with little or no difference in density. I dropped a contrasty curve layer on the image in CS to see if the paper could actually print at a higher density and it did. Is there a simple way of increasing the density and contrast in QTR? There are "Expert" setting options in the QTR driver, but I don't know when or how to access them. I'd like to know if it's possible to achieve simple(?) density and contrast adjustments before getting into what looks like a serious learning curve to produce profiles for Epson and non-Epson inks. Thanks, peter
