Digital BW, The Print

I'm currently a C84/86 user with the MIS EZ inks.

But at approx. $250, the IJC/OPM RIP is attractive. I
could use one printer for both B&W and color, using
one color inkset, and so on.

I use PWP, and I print on EEM, EHM and Matte Scrapbook.
Might explore Epson Semi-Gloss, but I don't really
experiment with papers much.

In general, how does a RIP compare to the MIS ink
sets?
