Digital BW, The Print

I have  a  new  epson c86 that I used with MIS ez inks. It  got  cloged
after  2 8x10s. The head cleaning utility is not doing the  job. I seem to
remember someone say you could fill the  cartidges with distilled water to
use to clear the clog. Is this correct. I also clearing with the  original
epson cartidge. Things got a  little better but, I went through an entire
cartidge and  I still have banding.
