Great news, and thanks again. I'll look forward to getting some of 
the Kirkland gloss paper and try this out (I have an 1160 loaded 
with MIS-VM inks). 

I plan to change to MIS-UT variable tone ink once my stock of VM
runs out -- I guess this approach should work with that inkset too.

Let me know what you think. The UT-FS profiles are quite good but the
VM version ... I like them but some may find the dmax a little below
expectation. Like you I'm using the VM until I run out then will
replace with either UT-FSN, or a subset of the UT2 inkset, or some
modified inksets which allows me cool to warm with sepia option on the
1160.

Thank you, Nick. I downloaded and installed your VM profiles, grabbed
some Lyson 180gsm Fast Dry Gloss (rebranded Hahnem\ufffdhle -- the only
glossy paper in the house) and printed a couple of beautiful prints.
