9600 high-tension spindle

9600 high-tension spindle

Has anyone gone from the non-high-tension spindle to the high-tension
spindle and noticed ANYTHING better? Is it worth it? Does it keep the
slack from bunching up on loading?

When I asked my supplier about this, the reply was to only get one if you need to have multiple spindles because you change paper frequently. Otherwise, stay with the normal. So, I never bought one.

Hi Mark

We bought two HT spindles when we got our 7600's because I was told we would
need them for certain papers.I haven't found there to be any difference in
performance between the two.
I do find it very convenient though to have extra spindles so that I can keep
certain media loaded for a quick change. An expensive convenience though.
Hope this helps

Steve

Thanks. I wonder what their logic is for making them?
