what the traditional photo people think of it ...

...having started printing with MIS FS some weeks ago, having finally access to a more or less reasonable 35mm scanner (Nikon LS40) I have now printed quite a few 11x14 prints. Being a teacher, I have showed them to 2 art teachers at my school who use the traditional darkroom in their classes (one is a dedicated photographer who does also medium and large format) and what can I say: they were speechless. Specially the MF/LF photographer told me that in the last 18 years he has never got such clean and sharp prints out of 35mm, let alone the big print size (he never goes beyond 7x9 with 35mm). Anyway I can say that I am very pleased with the results myself, the Stylus 1160 prints delightful prints on EAM with the MIS FS inks - 3 months ago I didn´t believe that such a quality could be available with an ordinary (and almost "cheap") A3 printer. My problem at this time is that since I started serious photography in January 2001 all I have shot is some rolls of 35mm - so no large choice in really great pictures - but I will try to choose one for the upcoming European print exchange.
