How do you print custom paper sizes on a 2100/2200? On the print menu it gives you the option for custom size paper, but I can't find where to input the sizes themselves. Any help would be much appreciated!

You can create custom, new. But they don't work. Not supported. Known issue.

They work in QTR but not the Epson driver using Mac.

Hit Page Setup... under settings choose Custom Paper sizes.. Hit new, put in your variables, create a name, hit save, hit ok.. Then go back to page setup and choose it from the drop down menu under Paper size. Carolyn

Custom paper sizes work fine on Windows XP in the Epson driver, QTR and IJC/OPM. Oops.... I forgot, windows is an inferior platform. :O) (Sorry, I couldn't help myself). Ha haha! ;-) It's just the boys at Epson that don't finish off their drivers. BTW, on a lighter note, I received a local magazine in the mail yesterday which advertisers restaurants, fashion, shops and property in my local area of London, Notting Hill. I had to laugh when I saw this article: "Girls, where is the hottest place to cruise guys? The Electric? The Westbourne? No. Believe it or not, it's the new Apple store on Regents Street. The place is a cool white cathedral packed with single men hanging out. The fact that they are there says everything about who they are. It says they are smart, creative, cultured, style-conscious - and they know how to type. Girls, these are the kind of guys you want. In fact, I know a couple of grove girls who have a strict policy of only dating Mac guys. When they meet a prospective new beau, within minutes they ask, 'Are you Mac or PC?' If he says PC they bail. So girls here's the play. If you want to hook one of these guys, stroll down to the store, walk around wearing a curious frown, and wait." So maybe our Epson drivers aren't up to scratch but we're definitely "cooler" and potentially more "lucky". LOL

Bummer....I guess I'll just keep my geek nose to the color management grindstone and forget the girls. I'll have to take solace in the fact that my PC can do things a Mac can't. Too funny! It is? I know when I tried to set a size in the normal print driver, it didn't work. But when you do print with preview, choose page set up, then choose printer; then properties, and choose "user define" under paper sizes, a dialog box comes up where you enter the size info. Now.....that being said, on mine, the numbers you enter make abosolutely no sense to me. Anyone got an idea? --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, Steve Kale <stevekale@b...> wrote: > You can create custom, new. But they don't work. Not supported. Known > issue. >

First of all Mac or PC? QTR or Epson? With a Mac and the Epson 2100 driver, the printer spits the dummy when you choose to use a custom paper size. Setting up a custom paper size is easy (settings - custom paper size in page setup) and the numbers are logical - just enter the paper dimensions and the margins you want. All goes well until you send it to print and the printer has a fit - rotates the image, chops it off and starts in the middle of the page. Epson is aware of it and simply hasn't bothered to do anything about it.
