I tend to like matte papers. I particularly like Epson Velvet--often use Epson Enhanced Matte for proofing. I just received some new paper samples to try so will let you know *smile*. I"ve tried some of these before printing from PS but am anxious to try them again with QTR.

I do print b/w with Premium Semigloss too---but you fact the fact of bronzing.

Thank you Diane for answering my question. I've downloaded Quadtone, and will begin using it. I shoot a lot on overcast days, any suggestions on papers that work well with quadtone, and give crisp whites, and a broad greyscale tonality. Ann montauklady gpfly205ss@...

We have several papers that work very well with QTR. I have tried QTR with our 9600 and 4000 and plan to try with 2200 soon.

Refillable carts, UT2, Glop...?

2005-03-29 by Douglas Meeuwsen

OK...finally am taking the plunge and getting the 1280 refillable
carts, and am a little confused trying to get around the MIS/Inksupply
website.

First, I have the carts in my basket, But I cant find glop anywhere,
and I know it is on there somewhere. Also, Where is the chip resetter?
And lastly, I am assuming that I need bottles of ink for all of the
slots except yellow, which will get the glop. Correct? I have a few
eboni carts, and since I mainly do glossy prints, They will last a long
time. Should I experiment with PKN? I am planning on keeping the eboni
since I do make big matte prints sometimes. Thabnks inb advance for
clueing me in! Doug M

I Think I got all the stuff ordered...I had to do a separate search for
everything that I needed on the MIS site. I guess that's because all
the stuff I wanted is either so new and experimental, Glop and
all.....I was completely set up for a hundred bucks, and that is with
4oz bottles of everything should last a good long time.
Dang this ink makes some nice deep blacks on costco paper.....DM
