Hi Scott,

I do it with the yellow position ink of Warm Neutral
piezotones and it works beautifully, looks almost like
pencil. Depending on the paper and size of the image,
I use a medium or fine point fountain pen (on matte
papers). I will say that you must not apply pressure
as you normally would when writting, it has to be a
soft stroke.

Hi Pablo,

Have you tried it in other "surfaces" besides matte?

I guess I'll have to contact my friend tomorrow and give it a try on
a glossy photo I have laying around here.

Scott,

I only use matte papers and my guess is that it won't
work with glossy papers (I use piezotones and they for
sure won't dry on glossy paper but maybe UT inks
will... Paul Roark might know about it better than I
do).
Have you tried acid free gel pens? If I well remember,
Pentel had/has a silver and gold gel pen set that
-apparently- is acid free.
I hope this is of any use.

Pablo

Someone on another forum told me about the ZIG pens that I use on semigloss and luster papers. I found them in the scrapbook section of the local Michael's or Moore's. They are pigment ink and acid free, etc. and come in many colors (I found that a sort of taupey shade looks a lot like pencil). I don't use them on my matte papers which is what I prefer for b/w prints.
