I did some more testing and find that overprinting the black tones in
an image give substantially darker 100% K. I don't have a spectro or
densitometer, but my ScanMaker4 detects a significant change from a
maximum K from level 57 to 50, as read in PS6 with the Histogram.
Of course this requieres running the paper through the printer twice,
which is unconventional and a bit tricky, but isn't there a way to get
as much ink down in one pass? I'm obviously not getting all the black
I could.
I'll try bumping up the Epson driver settings, since that's the way
I'm printing using Paul Raork's grayscale adjustment curve for UT-FSN,
and let you know if I have any success, but please let me know if
you've already been this route and what you found.
