Paul, I've been meaning to ask you this for awhile: Have you ever tried a Sure Shot sprayer? Go here: http://www.gemplers.com/a/shop/product.asp?T1=1100&src=21TL002 Years ago, I worked in a mold shop and we had these sprayer that we put liquid wax into. It would spray a fine, light mist. I wonder if this would work for spraying prints? Scott

Scott, I have not used the Sure Shot. I have another aerosol type sprayer here I intend to try when time permits. The local paint store says it does well with high viscosity paints, and the high viscosity of the water-borne coatings is one of the things that has been a problem with other small sprayers. The URL for the Sure Shot suggests that it might not be the best with high viscosity fluids either. Premier Art was also experimenting with a CO2 cartridge-charged sprayer, but they would not disclose the make. They may be considering a private label sale of it. Paul www.PaulRoark.com

Paul, Here's the page from the manufacturer. http://www.sureshotsprayer.com/abrass.htm There's more info there. I probably should have post that address instead. Considering that this sprayer is sold by Gemplers (which sells to the professional landscaping trade), I doubt its designed to provide a fine finish. Also because this type of sprayer ejects the compressed air with the material you are spraying, its unlikely the air from a compressor without a fairly sophisticated filter set-up would be clean enough to make the flawless type of coating required for a photograph.
