Rawshooter Essentials

2005-04-19 by adolphamster

I've followed the suggestions of several members of this forum and
tried Rawshooter Essentials. It has many excellent features. However,
either I've missed it, or there is no way to adjust the final output's
file size - typically adjusted in other related programs as:
output(image) size, dpi,bit depth (other than 8 or 16) etc.Has anyone
found out how to do this?

I use it from time to time (I also use Adobe Camera Raw and C1
Capture). I don't see any way to change pixel dimensions during
conversion. You can probably do a better job in Photoshop using the
various resampling algorithms.

I use Capture One, ACR, and now RSE. I really like the detail and
image quality of Raw Shooter Essentials. True, you aren't going to be
setting the file size in RSE, just do it in PS. YOU CAN set bit
depth, file format, etc. Just click the "Batch Convert" tab to change
the settings. Make sure you also are using the latest update, version
1.1.2.
