Metallic Paper
2005-04-26 by john dean
Oh, by the way there is a company called Red River that makes a metallic inkjet paper that comes in silver and gold. The results look very similar to Daguereotypes. Very unique. I used it about 5 years ago for a very cool portrait with the Lyson Small Gamut inkset and sprayed it with Lyson Printguard, and it has been in my studio ever since and has not shown any signs of fading yet. Red River is not known for the most archival papers in the world but this one has held up so far. It comes in up to 13x19 sheets. It might be interesting for certain applications. http://www.redrivercatalog.com/browse/cat=4&prod=30.htm John
