c86 / mis ink problem

2005-05-01 by jcarlisle98

Hi,
I bought a C86 and MIS inks not too long ago. After a few nice prints
(in which the eboni cartridge ran out very quickly), i installed a new
eboni cartridge in the black slot and noticed that there was still
quite a bit of ink in the old cartridge. With the new cartridge, I
had one successful print before my printer driver told me the black
cartridge is out of ink. Now I can't print. Any suggestions?

thanks

Jim

I recommend people fill their own easy-refill carts and have a chip
resetter. It's easy and then the fact that the C86 drinks ink is not much
of a problem, because bulk Eboni is cheap and easy-refill carts are just
that. If a chip pre-maturely tells you you're of ink, you can then pull the
cart and see the ink level. If it's full, just reset it.

It's not a bad idea to keep some extra chips around. They do fail
occasionally.
