QRT

QRT

2005-05-06 by Russell Baker

Hi Gang......................

I am using an Epson C66 printer with MIS EZN Inks.

From what I gather from reading messages posted here
that if I use QRT it will reduce the bronzing effect?

Also

I have been using the lighter/darker slider
and the contrast slider on the printer menu
to contol theo utput.

Aside from using a lot of ink and paper and trying them out......

Can someone tell me how adjust the
CMY sliders will affect the print?

Thanks

QRT

2005-05-30 by rebphoto

Hi Gang..................

I seem to remember that it was mentioned here that
printing with QRT would reduce the bronzing effect
I am getting.

Is this true?

Could someone tell me how to find this..........

I did a Google search and couldn't find it.

Thanks

http://www.sbillard.org/Shareware/QTRgui.htm

It's QTR or QTRgui ...Quad Tone Rip or QTR Graphic User Interface...

I use the idiot version QTRgui...

The only trick is that you can only print from TIFF files...copy your
GIFs etc into TIFF and you're good to go.

I previsualize well from color so I don't even bother converting my
color negs/slides to grey scale before printing as B&W, when I've not
shot B&W negs in the first place.

When you like this software, pay them for it! It's cheap and great.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
