Help! Custom paper size problem

Help! Custom paper size problem

2005-05-14 by krn_ptr

After setting a custom paper size in QTR, the print preview dialog shows the
image correctly oriented to print the way I want (landscape on an 8.5 x 17
sheet). When I print, it prints across the width of the paper, cutting off most of
the image (it's a panorama shot).

If I switch the selected printer from QTR to Epson MK driver, it prints correctly
(except that it's tinted instead of B&W). What am I doing wrong? Of course, I
have a deadline for tomorrow for two prints for an exhibition. Please help.

Thanks,

peter

Don't know whats wrong but have you tried cheating and telling it to
print portrait to see if it prints the other way?

Thanks for the suggestion, Duane, but yes, I have tried that. It prints
horizontal bars across the paper width. (See my new post on Yahoo QTR)

I had the same problem with the custom paper issue. I was printer colour
using the 2200 so I can't help you with QTR but, set the width of the paper
to no larger than 12.6 inches. This is the maximum width allowed by Epson.

Actually, I was just told by technical support at Epson to set mine
to 12.94, and it worked. So, perhaps that is now the maximum.

Thanks, Jorge. You're absolutely right. That was the problem. I found out this
afternoon and i was just going to post when i saw your post. Actually, i set it to
32.8mm because that's 0.01mm less than the Epson label for 13" paper. It
worked fine.

Thanks to everyone who responded.

Thanks for helping.
