I have produced a numbe of sepia tonalities that I really like, actually too
many for my own good.
I can match the Piezzotone Carbon Sepia exactly, really, exactly, with a
setting on the 9600 of W-90 and 10- sepia, but this is not a heavy sepia.
One of my favourite colors, and one my clients like is 70 w and 30 sepia.
If you want more intense sepia toward reddish hues you can use 100 % sepia
or 50 s/ 50w. To cool the sepia you can substitue the Cool curve for the the
Warm one. One important observation I could make is that your best results
will be on papers without optical brightners. Enhanced Matte is not a good
choice or any other paper that has bluish or cyanish base color. I like William
Turner the best or the Innova Soft Texture. I don't like warm prints on Photo
Rag and Premier Art Coldpress does very strange things to the sepia color,
sometimes even causing a split tone that other papers don't exhibit.
