Does QTR consume some carts on a 2200 more than others in any consistent manner? Or is there some other way to describe or guestimate its ink consumption pattern? Thanks! Scott

Open up a profile and look which inks are being used. As an example from EnhanceMatte- Warm profile: LIMIT_K= BOOST_K=90 LIMIT_C=0 LIMIT_M=0 LIMIT_Y=0 LIMIT_LC=0 LIMIT_LM=0 LIMIT_LK=60 You will notice only Black and LightBlack ink is being used. LightBlack is being used one- third less than Black.

If you are running the Windows version you can right click on the curve name and bring up a graph of the ink usage. -Stephen www.sbillard.org/Stephen

And don't forget to multiply the curves by the histogram of the image, and then integrate under the areas of the LK and K curves... End result, unless you're printing pictures of soot factories or coal bins, you'll use up LK carts about 3x as much as K carts.

Good point...really didn't even think about the content or the grayscale of the pictures. That would affect the inks being used. --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "koloshor" <wiz@n...> wrote:
