protective coatings for inkjet on mylar ?

A client of mine is a nationally recognized sculptor who creates large pieces that are created from inkjet geometric patterns that are printed on mylar with Lyson Lysonic "archival" dyes in an Epson printer. I have suggested that she spray these objects with Premier Art UV spray to protect them since they are not behind glass. This coating however changes the appearance of the mylar and does not go on smoothly. We are searching for something to coat this work with that will go on evenly and not change the appearance of the work. Does anyone know of a solution. Thanks, John
