Digital BW, The Print

A client of mine is a nationally recognized sculptor who creates large pieces
that are created from inkjet geometric patterns that are printed on mylar with
Lyson Lysonic "archival" dyes in an Epson printer.

I have suggested that she spray these objects with Premier Art UV spray to
protect them since they are not behind glass. This coating however changes
the appearance of the mylar and does not go on smoothly.

We are searching for something to coat this work with that will go on evenly
and not change the appearance of the work. Does anyone know of a solution.

I have done work for people in the past and have used a clear
lamination to seal the print.  I also have mounted the mylar to
plexiglass using optically clear adhesive both have protected the
print and perserved the integrity of the clear sections

Thanks Jeff,

I suspected that lamination would be the way to go. It seems there are 
archival laminates that do not alter the surface of the print these days, moving 
them toward very matte or very glossy.
