OS 10.4.1 and pscs2

2005-05-28 by jedbest@nyc.rr.com

Dear Everyone,

I am trying to install the QuadtoneRIP for an Epson 2200 on a G5 with OS
10.4.1 and Photoshop CS2. When I install it, it installs TWICE and I don't
know how to eliminate one of them. Any assistance would be greatly
appreciated.

Thankl you.

Yes, it is an abnormalty of Tiger. Just use the bottom or last one
and ignore the other. It should still print. One thing though that
appears to be happening sometimes is that if you choose the Better vs.
faster setting, it sometimes still prints using the faster setting and
you end up with the dreaded horizontal banding. I ran into this
yesterday and finally booted up in Panther on another drive and the
print came out perfect. So, I believe Tiger and QT rip have a few
printing issues which need worked out.

I'm not using Tiger (yet) but wonder why you would advise to "ignore"
the extra QTR driver, instead of simply deleting it?

There's only one driver and one print dialog page. The problem is that
Tiger is loading the same dialog page twice. What you enter in the second
dialog page overwrites the values from the first page, so it makes sense to just
use the second one.
