Where is Paul Roark When You Need him?

Where is Paul Roark When You Need him?

2005-06-03 by SteveZ

Today I received my very first UT7 inks from MIS. Before I install
them in my 2200, I'm a little confused about some aspects and sure
could use Paul's help or anyone else who can answer a few questions.

1) Can I just install this inkset in my printer or must I purge the
printer to get rid of the residual Ultrachrome ink or just run a
head/nozzle cleaning cycle.

2) And what about drivers? Is it advisable to print using PS (Epson
drivers) or QTR? Which is preferable? And Why? I Obviously want to
avoid metamerism and bronzing as much as possible.

I hope I get some answers soon cause I'm eager to start printing.

Thanks!

I also purchased MIS inks and I just insulted the new cartrages and
ran some prints.

I use a epson 1280 which is dye based and switched to pigment B/W
Inks and I have problems. Also I did the same thing a year ago with
Lyson Inks and again no problems.

ofcorse the 1280 is net a 2200, but I think they are simualar enough
to use my experience as a go ahead.

at the worst you my get some bad prints until your machine cleans
out the ole ink, but I dont think it will hurt anything overall.

hope this was helpfuf.
