Paul Roark mentions this paper in his overview of the C86, and I'd like to try it. I've scoured via Google, but can't seem to turn up a supplier of this paper. Any pointers greatly appreciated. Thanks! Scott

It's at the bottom of the list there. I believe this is the same paper that they labeled as "Dual" matte in a beta test pack to me. The "dual" was probably just to highlight that it was coated on both sides. An acid-free paper with a dmax better than EEM and price about the same as EEM seems like a good deal. My recollection is that it is very bright and prints cold -- which the BO prints might like. I also found it was very sharp -- which is a mixed bag. The bad news in this is that it makes dots stand out more than on most papers. The UT-FS-Y option for UT2 and UT7 printers might make a visible difference with the paper. Paul www.PaulRoark.com

The paper is nice, but it must have a ton of optical brighteners, as Paul has mentioned. For color printing, I like EEM a little better, but the Premier Art Premium Matte paper might last longer before yellowing. Peter De Smidt

EEM will yellow from acid, the highly brightened papers will yellow (lose their brightness) from the OBAs burning out. The brighteners burning out may not destroy the photo, but people will think it is aging badly. For photos I want to look good for a long time, a non-brightened paper like Premier Art Hot Press 205 is what I'd use. Paul www.PaulRoark.com

Why do they add OBA's in the first place, then? I don't understand why someone doesn't make an acid/lignin/OBA free alpha cellulose paper that's cheaper than cotton papers. One would think there would be a decent market. Scott Paul Roark wrote:

Much like your washing powder. Add some blue optical brighteners and your whites look whiter!
