Hi,

I am new to this forum. Just joined up this afternoon.

I have a problem that you might be able to solve. I downloaded Quadtone RIP and am trying to print a
black and white photo with it. The printing model I am using is QuadR1800. When I press the button to
print a get a message: ERROR: Fatal Error: Unable to find driver named "escp2-R1800".

Where can I find this driver? I have searhed google and the epson site but cannot find it.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do now.

Thanks for your help.

Hey Tony!

I had the same problem as you. Apparently there is some small mistake
awaiting a fix. In the meantime you can select the R800 printing model
setting and use that, you will just be restricted to a max of A4 prints
(which is okay, but I'm really hanging out to be able to print at Super A3).

I don't really know very much at all about digital printing, so I'm not
really the best person to be giving advise. However, I have found the
recommended 1440x1440 dpi setting gives banding. I like the results at
2880 dpi, but you have to turn down the ink limit adjustment setting
(and maybe gamma too), as 2880 dpi puts way too much ink on the paper.
Good luck.

Dean
