Digital BW, The Print

Today I received 4 sample prints from Ilford. These prints were 
printed on what appears to be Willie Turner. They were sent as 
samples of the Ilford Quadtone printing system. 

For reference, the system including the Novajet 630i and RIP costs 
approximately $12-15,000(US). 

The quality of the prints was ok, but the Epson 1280 knocks the socks 
off the Ilford system. The inks, which Ilford says are neutral and 
resemble Ilford fb papers are warm in color. In fact they are much 
warmer than Piezo or Pauls warm curve.

I guess for a +/- $15k (US) system, I expected a lot more.
