<He said it shouldn't take more than 10-15ml of ink to switch on the 4800 because it involved only the black and the line was relatively short.>> At about 1 ml of ink per 8x10, you waste enough ink for a dozen prints. Claude [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

As far as I know the flushout part only involves the black line only(there are 3 placeholder carts for the other 3 cartridges on the left side that need to be inserted for that step). But the recharge of the new black ink involves all 4 cartridges on the left side as the placeholder ones have to be switched back out for the real carts before that step. (there don't seem to be 4 separate pumps for the 4 lines, but only 1 pump per side or something like that) remosito > > At about 1 ml of ink per 8x10, you waste enough ink for a dozen > prints. > > Claude > > > > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > > > > Please visit the Group Homepage to check the Files, and other > resources as they are often being updated. > > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint > > If you wish to receive no emails or just a daily digest, or you wish > to unsubscribe, please edit your Membership preferences by visiting > this same page. > > Please follow these basic guidelines: > - As threads develop, trim off excess portions of earlier messages to > keep them short. > - Good manners are required at all time.
