K2 thanks for the advice.
Has anyone tried the trick of replacing C65 chips with C86 chips? Is this a
common thing to do? I'm really interested in the MIS solution and don't want
to waste (even a small amount of) money on a C65 if I can't get it work.

It's getting late so my brain is fried. I just thought of a workaround.
In case you can only get the C86 EZ carts, take off the chips from a used
set of C65 carts, replace the chips on the C86 carts and reset using a chip
resetter. Be careful to put the chips on the corresponding "colour" as they
are cartridge number specific.
